Other Disorders We Treat

At Millcreek Behavioral Health we strive to provide comprehensive care for as many children and adolescents as we can, which is why we offer specialized program options intended to meet the specific needs for a variety of emotional disturbances, behavioral disorders, and developmental delays. All of our wonderful staff members are completely dedicated to helping each child who comes to us for care lead healthier, more productive lives and go to great lengths to address each child’s specific treatment needs. Additionally, each one of our programs emphasizes individualization of treatment based upon each child’s strengths so you can rest assured knowing that your child is not getting a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment.

With a focus on individual and strength-based treatment planning and behavioral planning, the highly qualified staff at Millcreek Behavioral Health is able to tailor our programming options for many mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders, which may include the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Asperger’s syndrome
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Intellectual disability
  • OCD
  • Self-harm
  • Suicidal ideation

All comprehensive treatment plans are implemented by psychiatrists, clinical therapists, nurses, teachers, and other healthcare professionals who specialize in child and adolescent care. Additionally, we use a variety of therapeutic interventions, with an emphasis placed upon increasing a child’s self-esteem in order to build confidence and increase their ability to work through the treatment process. Furthermore, in order to ensure that a child is getting all that they can from our treatment programs patient surveys are conducted a minimum of once per month and then analyzed by therapists, the patient advocate, director of nursing, and program director in order to consistently improve programming.

Here at Millcreek Behavioral Health we provide children and adolescents with the opportunity to confront their challenges, learn how to cope with and manage their symptoms, and develop the skills needed to have happy, successful futures. We are fully committed to helping children and adolescents lead healthier, happier, more productive lives.
